Ever see Michael Moore's "Trumpland" piece, from before the election in 2016? He talks about the anger among working Americans, the way they have seen their pay and benefits cut, repeatedly, while the rich get richer. Trump tapped in to that "victimhood", so that MAGA gushes "he's just like us, always a victim". Of course, it's all a con, but it worked.
