BrerBear: TX Gov Abbott has finally started doing what should have been started 3 years ago.

Other states will be watching; we can expect more states to follow suit.

May I explain to you just how stupid this is, please?

Texas, after arresting these folks, will now jail them, try them, and incarcerate them, costing the state thousands, perhaps tens of thousands of dollars for each migrant. These migrants will no longer be eligible for expedited removal but will now go through full immigration court proceedings, which is exactly what they wanted in the first place, costing yet more money and taking yet more time.

Congratulations, BrerBear, you've been suckered by a political stunt.
