McLane which is a BRK subsidiary is already using autonomous trucks.
Great information, I didn’t know that McLane had started using this technology. It’s in the initial phase and will be expanded in time, according to Google. I think the size of McLane’s revenue gets overlooked,... it’s the size of BNSF and BHE combined. That said, McLane’s earnings are a small fraction of what those businesses produce. So, if the small profit margin (about 1.3%) could be expanded there would be meaningful profit produced. Is it just the nature of the business that it’s doomed to such a small profit margin? Or, can the adoption of autonomous driving trucks and/or other strategies convert this massive revenue stream into a more profitable business?
