No... Seriously. They're killing the fish.

A judge in Chicago has ruled that the Trump building in downtown Chicago is in violation of various ordinances and environmental statutes because its air conditioning system pulls in 20 million gallons of water daily from the Chicago River to use for cooling, discharges that water back into the river at higher temps and is thus killing fish in the river.

https://chicago.suntimes.com/environment/2024/09/1...

The building at 401 N. Wabash Ave. operates without a proper state environmental permit, does not accurately report water discharge levels and violates at least three other laws, according to the lawsuit.

Wilson found that those facts are "well founded" and "not materially challenged."

The judge said in an order Monday that the Trump Tower "has created and continues to create a a public nuisance in violation of Illinois law," and the intake system operates "in a manner that substantially and unreasonably interferes with the public right to fish and otherwise recreate in the Chicago River."

It would be a fascinating exercise to see if it is possible to locate any Trump property or business operation that can be shown to NOT be in violation of existing labor laws, environmental laws, or contractual terms.

I am pretty sure there is no major corporate HQ or high rise tower that is not in violation of several ordinances on any given day, Citibank, Merck, Pepsi, JP Morgan and so on. Which opens the door for selective enforcement, the primary weapon of the deep state. Who else in Chicago is operating in violation of some regulation or without some sort of permit. Only Trump, OK, got it.

Never thought of myself as one but that regulatory state warfare idea was just me, I didn't get it from my assigned dark-web MAGA server for my sector. So maybe I am a fledgling conspiracy guy. Yeah, I like it. How's this,

Since the lawfare on Trump hasn't brought him down, the left is moving to use the more pervasive regstate(© bhm) as a weapon. Think of all the properties and all the regulations, ordinances, and permits that are subject to audit. Image a Venn diagram where a myriad of inspectors converge with a crap load of properties, and in the intersection, justice lives.

Every city, county, state and federal agency, get your inspectors and compliance officers out there! Let's see how quick we can crank out a thousand citations to get the ball rolling. Those DA's were pikers with less then 50 indictments. The regstate(© bhm) says hold my beer.

Well, Mike, I call some things drawing a target on your back. :) But seriously, with this many properties over how long? 15 years?... with 7 of those prime years?... and only one notable building citation IIRC and you're going conspiracy theorist on us?

Maybe the Chicago citation is just the first, a call to arms so to speak....

OK, weak I know, give me a break, this is my first attempt at launching a new conspiracy theory. Maybe I should return to just repeating them like the lefties<g>.

You know, they never got Al Capone on murder charges. Or bank robbery. Or extortion.

They got him on income tax evasion.

The biggest criminals can be slippery. Sometimes law enforcement has gotta be creative.

No, you don't "got it". You're easily, demonstrably wrong.
ALL those companies have been sued by the Fed and/or states.
Here's one pharm, one bank, one food from your list.
Wrong, wrong, and wrong.
Wrong.

Google the first : Citi Apr 2, 2024Citigroup on Tuesday urged a federal judge to dismiss New York Attorney General Letitia James' lawsuit accusing its Citibank unit of failing to reimburse customers who fall victim to online scammers.

WASHINGTON - American pharmaceutical giant Pfizer Inc. and its subsidiary Pharmacia & Upjohn Company Inc. (hereinafter together "Pfizer") have agreed to pay $2.3 billion, the largest health care fraud settlement in the history of the Department of Justice, to resolve criminal and civil liability arising

Nov. 15, 2023 - The New York attorney general sued PepsiCo on Wednesday, accusing the food and beverage giant of endangering the environment and misleading the public about its goals to eliminate single-use plastic in its packaging. The attorney general, Letitia James, said her office had found that much of the plastic waste along the Buffalo River was from the company’s products.

Good. Perhaps there is more even handed enforcement. Citi certainly is a woke friend of Dems. BTW, #3 seems specious to me,

Pepsi makes a lot of products with decades of popularity, shipped all over the world. It seems unfair and just plain wrong to attempt to hold Pepsi accountable for the littering behaviors of third parties? 99+% of snack eaters dispose of the packaging responsibly and should not be denied their Doritos for the actions of a few.

BTW, #3 seems specious to me,

The nature of the suit is irrelevant. You said "got it, only Trump."

I showed you that that is bullshit. They all get sued.

I'll go out on a limb here and predict that you will soon repeat the MAGA 'only Trump' persecution complex.
