Elise Stefanik became Satan's handmaiden, debasing herself by enabling his corruption, spreading his hatred, and repeatedly kissing his ass... all for nothing.

Stefanik, a Republican congresswoman and staunch ally of Satan, abruptly ended her bid to unseat Gov. Kathy Hochul and said she would not seek another House term.

His nibs probably says "good, now we can get someone in who is *really* loyal". Sticks in my mind, I read that she initially ran as a moderate. Then she apparently saw where the money and the power was, and changed her stripes, just like Vance and Rubio.

Did you see the bit, the other day, where Trump says he sees no need to inform Congress before attacking Venezuela? He needs a solid majority in both houses of Congress that will not flinch, no matter what he does.

NETSTER "Experts say Trump could order limited military strikes inside Venezuela without Congress, but only temporarily and only if framed as defensive or limited in scope."

There's precedents that he doesn't have to, so we're stuck with that. IIRC the war powers act has a 30 day limit, but we wouldn't stop it, so it's ineffective.

That "defensive" bit may excuse the punitive air strikes in Syria. I have not heard one word about any of the people in boats, that the regime has killed, ever firing a shot.

Checks and balances: if Congress believes Trump is exceeding his lawful authority, then it is up to Congress to seek recourse in the courts, or by passing legislation, or by impeachment and conviction if all else fails.

That's what the Constitution provides for.

Congress has no obligation to do anything just because the Left doesn't like Trump or what Trump is doing.

Congress is appropriately performing its constututioñal function of oversight by holding hearings.


Beyond that is up to Congress, not you or me.

Don't like it? Then elect a Democrat Congress in 2026.

That's our system. Stop whining.

He figured Stefanik was not to be trusted to blindly sign off on everything Trump wants. What sort of piece of poo will Trump put in that seat in the House? Is Herschel Walker still available? He's currently Ambassador to the Bahamas. The net sifter says there is no minimum amount of time he would need to be a NY resident to run. He was a Texas resident when Trump put him forward for a Senate seat for Georgia. What would happen, if the NY authorities certified vote totals showing a Dem winning, and Trump decreed his candidate the winner?
