She axed the investigation into Trump U after a suspiciously well timed campaign contribution. If that counts as “experienced” I’ll eat my car.
I'm not saying that she had the morals or ethics to be the type of AG that I would want to see nominated for the post. Just that having been the AG for one of the largest states, she had as good a background as one can have to step into that role.
But, again, she didn't execute well in the office. I'm not talking about making the right policy choices or the correct read on the law. She just didn't do a good job for Trump. The Epstein files were poorly handled from an administrative perspective - there weren't enough resources in place, they pushed out shoddy work product (too many errors!), and they were bad at communicating with the counterparties. Similarly, the immigration pushes were also poorly handled: they didn't get enough people out there, didn't correct the mistake when it became apparent, and didn't get the people that were there the resources they needed to keep it from becoming a fustercluck.
