This is weird. I thought the new rule was that harsh criticism of a politically active person right after they were murdered showed a level of depraved inhumanity such that the person making the criticism deserved to lose their jobs and be hounded in all public areas? That's the rule that came out of the Charlie Kirk killing, right? That if you decided to publicly note that you felt that the person who was just killed had flaws or faults or took political positions you disagreed with, that you were a horrible person if you said that during the period after they were just killed? Surely all the people who are writing critical things about Rob Reiner today deserve condemnation for doing such a terrible thing?

The principal you are actually looking for, but deliberately misstated because you're a smug leftist,is that if you make a post on social media which is embarrassing to your employer or other affinity group you are associated with,or violates their social media policies, because you are ego tripping and want other similar a holes to "like" you and reinforce your group think and cognitive biases, then don't whine and complain when said employer takes or affinity group takes disciplinary action.
Unless of course you have legal recourse under the first amendment or some similar legal principal in which case get a lawyer and get your job back, as some in this situation have actually done.

Wow, I just read that Reiner's son Nick has been arrested for the murder of his parents. Didn't even realize he had a son. Nor that he was apparently "troubled", to say the least. What a tragedy. And yes, Trump's comment is despicable.
