Subject: Re: The Fox News Strategy Against Harris
WOW..that clinches it..Harris wins. lol

That doesn't clinch it, of course. But the Newsom, Shapiro, Beshear, Polis, Kelly and Buttigieg endorsements - combined with Whitmer informally declining a run - makes it pretty likely that she'll get the nod.

That's almost all the top-tier alternative candidates to Harris. So who's left? J.B. Pritzker, really. So not only did all of her top competition forego a race, but all of her top competition felt that this wasn't an opportune time to run - which means it's pretty unlikely that Pritzker would survey the landscape and come to a different conclusion. Esp. since with Newsom out, Harris has a near lock on all those CA delegates.

So it's hard to see any serious rival throwing their hat in. Sure, Marianne Richardson will try - why not? But it's sure looking like Harris gets the nod. Which, again, was always the most likely outcome if Biden dropped.

Just to also get it out there, Trump is still very much the favorite to win the Presidency. Harris is not likely to beat him. But this gives Democratic House candidates (and Brown and Tester) a reprieve from having to defend the top of the ticket on the campaign trail.
