I wasn't referring to you as "the author". The "journalist", if he is going to write about a topic, should inform himself (or herself) about the topic. Probably too much to ask from a NY Post writer.

As a common citizen, you may or may not know that. And I wouldn't criticize a "civilian" for not knowing.

As for the orders, another poster posted an article about how the administration has been trying to enforce a law, but the courts are saying they can't. As albaby says, given the constraints within current law, there's really not a lot that can be done. The law has to be changed, and Congress has to do it.
