I don’t think you seriously wanted to get into an extended discussion over whether the terms “brave” and “unafraid” are synonyms. So if you prefer, just go back and reread my comments with the term unafraid instead.

Musk’s statement was a horrible thing about Jews. It’s not praiseworthy to say horrible thing about Jews. Being unafraid to say a horrible thing about jews is not praiseworthy, either. Whether or someone is praiseworthy when they are unafraid to speak depends heavily on whether their speech itself deserves praise or calumny. The fact that you felt the desire to express positive things when you heard about what Musk said says a lot.

Noting that something is just an opinion, and that you have the right to have opinions, is not much of a defense. There are people in the world whose opinion is that Black people are subhuman and deserve to be enslaved. That is just an opinion, and they are entitled to have their opinion, and it is a loathsome opinion, and they are terrible for holding it.

Believing that Musk deserves praise for saying something terrible about Jews is, indeed, just an opinion. It doesn’t reflect well that this is the opinion you seem to have.
