More consolidation in the streaming sector. This deal brings DIS more revenue and removes an obstacle to the JV with WBD and FOX. DIS continues to find ways to monetize audiences using different brands. It's a media version of the BRK float - instead of free capital for their subs, they are getting free cross-marketing for all their brands. Not sure Netflix can duplicate. Maybe Apple, but they only really have one brand.

I had concerns about sports betting as a brand-killer for DIS, but so far it seems OK. Just another form of engagement. It's probably still a bit too early to feel confident about the future, but I'm happy to see the good news coming.
