Subject: Re: Berkshire boosts Abel's pay to $20 million
Just remember that Warren has a real interest in those succeeding him already having more money than their families could ever use. He does not want the next group of leaders to make decisions for Berkshire that are influenced by their own personal finances in any way, even subconsciously. Money should not be the motivating factor.
I don't have a problem with Greg and Ajit getting paid $20 million each today or in the future. But I would not be surprised to see them end those large salaries when Warren is no longer with us.
