It's not just a US problem. The nations featured in this piece also have obligations to those seeking asylum, and some are breaking international law by turning them away without a hearing. Greece specifically is mentioned.

Perhaps if we look at it from a global perspective, we'll have some better ideas how to address it. If we only see our southern border (in the US), then we may be missing the larger picture. Not that I have any ideas that aren't already they law. Just sayin' we may benefit from looking at it as a global problem, not a US-centric problem.
