They've got a problem: a non-existent bench.
The strongest candidates for President have traditionally been governors, although the democrats have had some success at electing former Senators of late. Behind Gavin Newsom they have very little. Nobody likes Jay Inslee and the rest of their stable of govs are relative unknowns especially after they ran off Cuomo.

Quite the conundrum they have!
