I've heard that the 25,000 lb bombs needed to meaningfully destroy Iran's underground facility can only be delivered by B-52s and there's no way to do that without having U.S. pilots flying them.

Everything I've read said it requires the B2, not the ancient B-52s. But, yes, still only possible with US pilots and planes.
