Subject: Re: Compare and contrast
Dwight D. Eisenhower – “I, like every soldier in America, will die for the freedom ofthe press, even for the freedom of newspapers to call me everything that is a good deal less than being a gentleman.” Compare that to the current commander-in-chief.
Perhaps we‘ll see the following in the history books:
“In the old days, you had facts. Very rigid. Now we have flexible facts. If a fact is loyal, it stays. If it’s disloyal, it goes through a little review process — very humane — and comes back improved. People say that’s rewriting history. No. It’s customer service for reality.
And when reporters say I said something I didn’t say, or didn’t mean, or meant differently, that’s their opinion. My opinion is that my words mean what they mean when I need them to mean it. Which is leadership. Strong leadership. The strongest ever.“
