Subject: Re: Why does Trump want to attack Iran?
Iran has been a boogyman for the US ever since the Iranian people had the nerve to overthrow a USian client.

Iran also controls a lot of oil. Oil always attracts the attention of the US.

Remember how, 20 years ago, the US was blaming our losses to IEDs in Iraq on Iran providing those devices?

So, yes, "regime change" has been a US objective for 45 years: put in another corrupt, brutal, dictator, that does the US' bidding. I posted articles, a few days ago, quoting Fetterman, Pelosi, and Graham, all pushing "regime change", rather than just ending the nuke program.

Then, of course, is the fact that, wrt Iran, US and Israeli policies of long standing intersect.
