You're right. The last candidate that offered alternative policy, and got people really excited, was Bernie. But he was crushed by the party machine, and it's NeoCon lite candidate.

Certainly Bernie offered alternative policies, but that doesn't mean they were superior to a majority of voters. Bernie's enthusiastic support of Mandami is not improving his chances.
