A regime of crooks can be bought, because crooks are in it for money. Ideologues aren't necessarily that easily bought. He would need to find a General, or Colonel, that can be bought, and push him into launching a coup.

But if Israel wants a failed state of warring factions, thinking it will never get it's poo in a group enough to threaten Israel, then trying to form any cohesive government is a no-go, because cohesion is the enemy. Imposing a Quisling, at Trump the God said yesterday, would almost certainly guarantee another revolution, in a decade or two.
