Subject: Re: OT: Land swap deal for Ukraine in Alaska?
Furthering my idea:
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Moscow will present a “clear, understandable position” to US President Donald Trump during his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Lavrov spoke briefly to reporters as he arrived at a hotel in Anchorage on Thursday, wearing a sweater emblazoned with “CCCP” – the Cyrillic lettering for “USSR.”
Lavrov said that a lot was done during US special envoy Steve Witkoff’s recent visit to Moscow, and that the Kremlin hopes to continue this “useful conversation” at today’s summit.
If I was a Latvian, Lithuanian or Estonian, I would be chilled at the thought of Ukraine giving up the defensive line along their current eastern front (including the Dnipro River (also known as Dnieper) forms the natural defensive line along Ukraine's eastern front. It serves as a significant barrier separating Russian and Ukrainian forces, particularly in the Kherson region).
If I was Polish, I would be nearly aas nervious - remembering that much oof Poland was part of Russia until about a century ago.
