I have a fundamental problem with so-called "sanctuary cities/counties/states" that purport to ignore Federal immigration law.

Those cities/counties/states do NOT ignore federal law. The ones ignoring the law are the federal govt agencies. Why? Because the federal govt *refuses to pay* for the costs incurred by those cities/counties/states. Therefore, per federal law, there is no obligation for the assorted local law enforcement agencies to incur the costs demanded by the federal govt UNLESS THEY ARE PAID FOR THE COSTS INCURRED. That is what THE COURTS HAVE SAID, not my personal opinion.
