I've been left speechless by the commentary on social media and some news outlets about the tariffs.

It's like watching a master class on logical fallacies unfold. Countless examples of appeal to authority, straw man arguments, appeal to popularity, cherry picking, etc.

And the remaining arguments that -aren't- relying on logical fallacies seem so paper-thin that a slight gust of wind could topple them.

The most concerning thing I see with respect to the stock market crash though is how many people are still making statements like "never sell on a dip" and "this is an amazing buying opportunity!" It sure doesn't sound anything like capitulation, making me fear the bottom is far below us still.
