US no longer believes in "you break it, you fix it" role. After starting the war which caused the closure of the Straits of Hormuz, allies on their own: Trump said the US will have “nothing to do with” the closed Strait of Hormuz when we end the war in two or three weeks, telling other countries to “go get your own oil" (or buy it from the US).
