Subject: Contribution Limits favor 401K over IRA
I thought it’d be a good idea to get everyone’s thoughts on the disproportionate limits of 401K plans versus IRA.

Why?

I’ll take a stab and suggest that it’s directly the result of lobbying of Congress by the FI. The quantum of fees which are locked in because of custodial relationships for decades. Few are on the other side. After all, the proportion of people who manage their own finances (well or not) is small.

Others thoughts?
