Subject: funny hats
What is it with religion and weird, non-functional hats. Popes and bishops are the first that come to mind. But the yarmulke is only good for covering a bald spot. And then the sect that wear those tiny black boxes just above their foreheads. And then the sikhs and their turbans is a bit strange (you want to wear a heavy turban in a hot and humid environment?).

I've just noticed that religious people and leaders often wear very odd hats that serve no other purpose (that I can see) except to mark them as part of one religious group.
