In 1991 I left Catholicism. That was after I saw that the church, in aggregate (at the time) had yielded about $2b in settlements due to too many years and too many priests touching too many kids.

And here we are almost 35 years later, with the LA Archdiocese getting another settlement levied against them - think it was $600m or $800m this time.

Think I'm about as likely to rejoin as I am to pole vault over the Arc de Triomphe.
