More to the point, ANY motorist in ANY situation is legally obligated to obey the traffic directions of a law enforcement officer. PERIOD.

It is NOT up to the motorist to overrule the law enforcement officer's directions.

A police officer tells you or signals you to STOP YOUR VEHICLE.

You STOP.
