I want to briefly share my appreciation for keeping our recent discussions distinct from the US Policy board.

Whilst that board has its place, it has been excellent to see recent posts here not drifting into US Presidential politics.

The ethos of "Atheist Shrewds" is that "anything goes, though even better when it goes with a philosophical and thoughtful slant".

To clarify: we avoid US politics at "Atheist Shrewds" not because it would be inherently off domain, but because those topics often (if not always) trigger an emotional avalanche. Once that starts, it tends to bury all other subjects, causing the discussion to lose its breadth and the pleasant spirit and caprice here.
