Promoting the use of official ports of entry was something I thought we all agreed on....

The process right now is step across the border and make an asylum claim. How does that fit into ports of entry? Doesn't seem like it fits.

The imaginary open border can be averted by the very real Senate Bill in the offing. We need a good analysis of it, then we hold our noses and pass it. Don't hold out for a mythical 95 or 100% of what you want - that's a recipe for keeping the current failed system. I want Ukraine aid so I'm willing to compromise as I'm a stout supporter of democracy. I like some progressive ideas, but I'm not progressive.
