There were in my town. A couple of Canadian flags,also. I have a Maple Leaf hat baseball hat
that I wear, my counter to the MAGA red hats.

My wife carried our homemade sign.

On one side:
“What did Canada do, eh?”

On the other side:
“Bomb Hegseth, not Greenland”


I saw no print shop quality signs, anywhere. No enforced uniformity of the message. If George Soros was astro-turfing the whole affair, I saw absolutely no evidence.


The resulting cacophony of mixed images produced some very humorous and creative results. At least for now, the feeling is “organic” and “grassroots”.


“Organic” and “grassroots” were terms used to describe the early Tea Party as well…… before it was co-opted by the Republican donor class.

But the way that Trump is turning his back on Ukraine was definitely a theme that bubbled up at our protest.

I saw a few maple leafs at our rally too, UNJ.
