Subject: Sept Jobs Report: +254,000
Republicans were gleeful when jobs growth slowed last month and yearly revisions were released. Well, sorry, September payrolls came in at +254,000, well above expectations. August payrolls were revised up +17,000 to +159,000, and July was revised up +55,000 to +144,000.

Unemployment fell to 4.1%. Average hourly earnings grew 0.4% last month, and are now up 4.0% over the year, clearly running ahead of prices.

The household report is even stronger, reporting employment growth of +430,000 last month, with unemployment falling by -281,000.

Republicans who have been shouting "everything is terrible" will be shifting to "the fix is in" in, 3, 2, 1...
