Hundreds of seats appear to be empty at a Friday event at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

The Mirror US reporter Jack Hobbs attended a Friday event where CPAC revealed its endorsements for upcoming races during the high-stakes November midterm elections. Hobbs snapped pics at the event, where hundreds of seats appeared to be empty, including in the press center. He estimates that about 200 people are present, as several dozen seats remain unclaimed.

Hobbs described the atmosphere of the event as "everyone" being "sleepy." At least least one older man appeared to have fallen asleep in the crowd. A woman at the reporters desk also appeared to be asleep at her desk.
