The paragraph in that article that caught my eye was this one:

“I think in G.T.’s heart, he would like to fix it, and I think there’s a lot of people in Congress that would like to fix it,” Painter said. “But the big reason why nobody fixes it is because it’s a big political bombshell, and both parties can use it against the other one.”

So, no, he’s not sorry he voted for Trump. He doesn’t find fault in the Republican House Agriculture Chair G.T. Thompson. Likely not his party either. This farmer (Painter) will sing Trump’s praises into bankruptcy.
