Subject: Re: Trump supporters ethnic cleansing
Now we know why Netanyahu interfered with the US election.
We always knew why. Everyone knew that Trump was more likely to be more favorable in more areas to Netanyahu's strategy for dealing with Gaza and Hamas than Harris would be.
As for the latest logorrhea, I don't think that Netanyahu expected Trump would publicly support relocating Palestinians out of Gaza. Oh, sure - I think Netanyahu knows that Trump doesn't give a rip what happens to the Palestinians. All Trump wants is a Saudi version of the Abraham Accords; he doesn't really care what happens in Gaza. But I'm confident that Netanyahu thought that surely Trump would realize that advocating for relocating the Palestinians makes an expanded Abraham Accords less likely, not more likely. He wouldn't have expected this.
I honestly don't know whether this is even welcome to Netanyahu or not. He's more of a realist than the fanatics in the far right wing whose support he needs - he knows that there's no way Egypt or Jordan (or really any other country) would ever accept 1M+ Palestinian refugees in any relevant time frame. Trump saying something like this doesn't move any of those countries any closer to accepting a massive influx of refugees...but it will embolden his right wing to hold out even harder for something that's impossible to get.
