Subject: Google Taking on Zillow

Zillow (Z) stock on Monday plummeted more than 12% after a report said Alphabet (GOOG) was testing putting real estate listings directly in its Google search results.

First reported by real estate industry analyst Mike Del Prete on his website, the move by Google would appear to directly compete with websites like Zillow, which attract homebuyers and renters with their vast library of listings from cities across the country.

Google's real estate listing test includes a full suite of tools and features one might expect from a housing website. The listings include fleshed-out pages for properties that include details such as the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, square footage, the year a home was built, and available parking.

Each listing also features the option to directly reach out to a real estate agent. Users can also schedule a call with the agent directly on the Google's listing. Google has a similar feature for restaurants that allows users to book a reservation on the search results page.

Only in certain markets for now.
