The GOP never wanted the government doing airport security, and, in particular, didn't want TSA unionized. This gives them a perfect excuse to either fold TSA into ICE, or turn the job back over to rent-a-cops, so their cronies can make a profit off it.

Thing is, there are not enough storm troopers. iirc, ICE has increased it's force to some 22,000, but TSA employs about 50,000. Of course, if they implement Plan Steve, to fold TSA into ICE, then the existing TSA screeners can be brought on force, as soon as they are issued camo, masks, and given that 47 days of thug training.
