U.S. won’t renew USMCA, opening door for negotiations with Canada and Mexico

The decision means the USMCA will stay in effect for another decade, provided no member tries to withdraw from it. But it also triggers yearly reviews that could result in the renegotiation of major parts of the treaty.

So, now, corporations don't know what to plan for. Terms could be changed before today's CAPEX decisions can be implemented. Trump the most perfect has blathered everything from stricter USian content requirements, to full US withdrawal. Or, someone could hand him a really fat check, to make a favorable decision, to them, that is totally at odds with "America First", but align with "Trump First" instead.
