Subject: Re: After mass shootings it's always too soon for
Reports out today all point to either mechanical failure or a medical issue. The occupants were a prominent couple who were owners of multiple businesses and members of a local boating club. Both were about 53 years old. The car was a brand new $300,000 Bentley Flying Spur (it certainly was "flying"...) that can do 0-60mph in four seconds despite weighing over 5200 pounds. And oh, earlier model years of this same vehicle were subjected to a recall over...

....wait for it...

....alleged sudden acceleration problems. It's not yet known if the husband had a history of medical issues that might have resulted in a medical emergency.

And for those thinking this was in any way related to lax border controls, the car was apparently driving TOWARDS the US custom gates on its way OUT of the country towards Canada. This wasn't a case of some "undesirable" deciding to go all the way to Candada and buy a $300,000 vehicle to crash THROUGH US Customs checkpoints to get INTO America. (sigh...)
