Subject: Re: How to invest (part 2 of 3) Shrewd'm style
Good morning, why leave out Vanguard as a potential firm to open your account?
Vanguard is a P.I.T.A. to do much of anything.
I have accounts at Schwab, Merrill, Etrade, Fidelity, Vanguard, and had (now closed) accounts at others like Interactive, TastyTrade, & others.
The only reason I keep the Vanguard account open is because I have UMPTA account for the grandkids and don't want the hassle of moving them to a different broker.
Vanguard is okay if all you want to do is buy seldom and actively trade never.
Of these, Etrade & Fidelity are the most user-friendly IMHO.
