And lately, can easily mean months ago. Some people might use 'lately' to talk about a collection of things in recent times.

"But are you genuinely saying that it was this interview, from more than more than five months ago, that prompted you to write this post today?"


In a 20+ year posting history, on any given day I would write about a politician, a burger meal, a movie scene, a clip from a presidential debate - could be all the same day or hour. So I don't need a "prompting" to write something.

Now I just scratched my ass. I guess that was promoted by having an itch. Not a hobby otherwise.
