Subject: Gen. Dan “Razin” Caine: Trump Lied
A "sir" story that King Donald has told dozens, hundreds, of times came up today when the nominee for Joint Chiefs chair, Gen. Dan “Razin” Caine, appeared for his confirmation hearing. According to King Donald, Caine approached him in a 2018 encounter in Iraq during his first term. Caine, according to Trump, said, “I would kill for you, sir,” and slapped a MAGA cap on his head.

The action would have proven controversial as servicemembers are bound by the Constitution to deliver nonpolitical, nonpartisan guidance to civilian superiors.

“I went back and listened to those tapes, and I think the president was actually talking about somebody else,” Caine said in an exchange with the panel’s top Democrat, Sen. Jack Reed (D-R.I.). “And I’ve never worn any political merchandise or said anything to that effect.”
