That's why I merely said it was insanely unlikely, not that I had knowledge of the terms of the agreement.

Unfortunately, I do not recall the name of the person I saw on the news last night. The gist of the conversation was that, when Trump first started blathering about Greenland, a year ago, Greenland and Danish authorities were open to allowing more US bases, and working with US companies on minerals extraction. It was entirely Trump that insisted on taking the island over entirely, which was a no-go.
