Subject: Re: Rubio said it out loud
Gas has been about $3/gallon in Michigan. It could easily go to $5, $6, $7/gallon, but that is only a problem for the regime, if there are free and fair elections this fall.
Seems the regime *is* concerned about the price of gas. New plan to mitigate price increases to be announced later today. How many bet it will be a government subsidy, or tax cut, to gas buyers? I doubt the regime would do anything that would hurt big oil's windfall profits from the war.
Rubio: We have a plan to counter oil price spike
Washington says it has a playbook ready as oil prices jump amid the US-Iran conflict, Politico reports. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Monday the Trump administration will start rolling out a plan Tuesday aimed at easing the spike in crude prices that followed US strikes on Iran and retaliatory attacks on energy infrastructure in the region.

I remember chatter, in 2008, when the Bush junta's wars drove the price of gas over $4 here. There was a proposal to suspend government fuel taxes..."must never burden big oil" strikes again. The Congressman I had at that time actually reached out to constituents for feedback. I received a robocall from him inviting feedback on the fuel tax question. I called his local office and told the staffer what a stupid idea suspending the taxes was. The taxes fund road maintenance. Suspending the taxes would only result in more dilapidated roads.
