Subject: Re: Trump: Just Raise Your Own Chickens
How do we solve for something like this? People are sort of looking around and thinking, ‘Wow, maybe I could get a chicken in my backyard,’ and it’s awesome.”
Chickens like a 16 hour day to lay an egg. During the winter they may only lay 3-4 eggs a week, and that depends on their age, the weather, and other things. So a family of four, to get an egg apiece per day, would have to have between 6-8 chickens minimum.
I don’t think that’s going to go over well with most condominium owners, apartment dwellers, HOAs, McMansion owners, or lots of others who are somewhat used to the convenience and price of stopping by the local Kroger’s for their weekly ration.
But yeah, a chicken in every pot, er, coop. Awesome.
