Subject: Re: ACA: Catastrophic plans & HSAs
Here's a less than encouraging piece on those catastrophic plans:
"Let Them Eat Catastrophic Plans!" Trump & RFK Jr. have a "genius" response to expiring tax credit crisis

And another not-so-good: Yes, in 2026 we will be able to have an HSA for the first time, knocking $10,750 off the top line, but this is offset some by losing $7,500 in pre-tax 401k catch up contributions. Catch up contributions now have to be in a Roth.
Our insurer is asking for a 17% increase for 2026. Unsubsidized cost of our Bronze plan (if they offer it) projected at $40,150/year.
