You can select between one-time and monthly from the Contact or Support Shrewd'm link at the bottom of all pages.

The blue star appears next to your name in Shrewd'm if the donation is monthly.

For one-off donations I take note exceedingly of each, keep a record of all donations given that I could not stand the idea of a donation being ever forgotten, and respond privately to everyone.

Even when it appears momentarily quieter, this quietness may be an illusion as there are a lot of people watching and waiting for your post. If you want more posts, create posts asking insightful questions. I think a good question is more ingenious than a good answer.
