I wish we could impose an intelligence requirement on elected officials. Of course, it would be unconstitutional. Plus it might be hard to find someone who could pass the test that would be willing to do the job. I suspect the Reps would be bereft of candidates.

(And, yes, we do have the technology...it's called "batteries". Maybe they should have kept Musk around to explain that to them, since he offers such a solution at his company.)
