Reminds me of a tale I read recently.

Guy dies, and shows up at the Pearly Gates.

He's welcomed by St. Peter, and told he can ask one, and one only, question and get an honest answer.

Guy asks: "Who really killed JFK?"

St Peter replies: "Lee Harvey Oswald, acting alone."

Guy says: "Boy this conspiracy goes even higher than I thought."
