The net effect - for me at least - is that the new mechanism now works with my Windows 11 set-up & the older mechanism didn't.

The new SIP updater also seems to work OK and faster than the old one using windows 11 Pro but the older version has been working for me for over a year with no problems also using windows 11 Pro.
