In a statement, he [Jamal Bowman] said he was rushing to get to the vote and activated the alarm while trying to open a locked exit door. The door is typically open during weekdays.

But Republicans aren't buying it.

So either it was an innocent mistake, or he's lying. Unless he confesses, or they can find a witness to testify that Jamal told them he pulled the alarm (or was going to pull the alarm), this investigation will go nowhere. I know nothing about this guy's character, so I have no idea which way this will go.
